Who We Are?

The International Learning Lab on Public Procurement and Human Rights is an international network of academics, practitioners, advocates and policy workers aiming to advance the respect, protection and promotion of human rights through procurement.

This network was established by the International Corporate Accountability Roundtable, the Harrison Institute for Public Law at Georgetown University, and the Danish Institute for Human Rights. It is currently led by the Business, Human Rights and the Environment Research Group at the University of Greenwich.

Our aim is to promote public procurement as a tool to be used by States to:

I.               Comply with their human rights obligations

II.              Attain their 2030 commitments on Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)

III.            Enforce responsible business conduct in their supply chain

The Lab is co-coordinated by:

Professor Olga Martin Ortega &
